Venue, accommodation, and travel information
This year’s meeting will take place in the town of Hveragerdi. The town is located about 45 kilometers away from Reykjavik, and is surrounded by a geothermal area.
The hot water from the volcanic hot springs is used in greenhouses to grow anything from vegetables to Icelandic bananas.

There is plenty to see and do in the Southern part of Iceland and Hveragerdi offers visitors options of variable ranges and increbible landscapes. You can find more information about what you can see and do in the area through the following sites, just to name a few:
There are different possibilities to reach the Venue, Hotel Örk, from the international airport at Keflavík.
- Flybus to BSÍ bus terminal and a countryside bus to Hveragerði
- Countryside bus from the airport to Hveragerði.
- Private Taxi shuttle for either 4 passengers or a larger car for 8-20 people. It’s highly recommended to get a fixed price quote from the taxi service providers beforehand, rather than just walking up to the taxi queue once you arrive at the airport. The difference in the price can be enormous.
